Bloom Music Turns the Minifreak Into a Sonic Street Weapon

Bloom Music’s Donald Jordan gets his paws on the Minifreak 5.0 firmware, and suddenly this already-mean synth is packing user samples. Macro Mayhem: Bloom Music Unleashes the Minilogue XD’s Secret Weapon

Bloom Music’s Donald Jordan dives headfirst into the wild world of macro oscillators on the Korg Minilogue XD, peeling back the lid on what he calls one of the most criminally underrated features in modern synths. Forget beginner presets—this is a deep-dive PSA for anyone who thinks digital oscillators are just a gimmick. If you think the Minilogue XD is only for newbies, brace yourself: this thing’s got more modular spirit than half the Eurocrack you’ve seen. Prepare for a ride through custom code, sonic oddities, and a synth community call-to-arms.
